I can't think of a book that changed my life either. I don't think I've ever read a book more than once either, I have enough of a problem geting through a book once let alone more than once. I'm with chelsie on the desert island I would want the bible with me. I'm sure I've read a book that made me laught but I can't think of any. I can honestly say I've never cried while reading a book. That would be cool if Pirates of the carribean had been made into a movie but I like it better when the book is made before the movie. Um... never been written? I'm sure there's lots out there that shouldn't have been writen but I haven't read any. I am currently reading Three. There's lots of books I want to read like obsessed and I want to read saint too but it won't be out till october.

Well, its obvious that Ted Dekker is a popular author with you guys! I've enjoyed several of his books, too - Black, Red, White, Three, Blink, and Obsessed. Red is my favorite, then Blink. Three was the first one I read and was totally weird.

Thanks for answering the questions. Now if we can just get the youth LEADERS to answer . . . !!!

1. One book that changed your life:

I don't know that anyone particular book has changed my life. "Dispensationalism" by Charles Ryrie and "Reforming Fundamentalism: Fuller Seminary and the New Evangelicalism" by Geroge Marsden came at an important time in my life during college, and have come as close to fulfilling this question as possible (theologically and socially, respectively). Though it's more that they came at the right time, than that they themselves were formative.

2. One book that you have read more than once:

"The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Excellent!! By far my favorite book. It, and "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding are the only books I've read more than once. I don't normally read a book more than once, so that's a tribute to both of these. I would read "The Man Born to be King" again, though (Dorothy Sayers).

3. One book you'd want on a desert island:

Well I think Jessica had a good idea with the systematic theology, but then again, if I was going to be on an island for a long time, I think I'd want something more multitextured and devotional. I'd say Pilgrim's Progress. I don't think I'd grow tired of that.

4. One book that made you laugh:

"Exegetical Fallacies"? That's as good as any. Shakespeare makes me laugh as well. Even his tragedies have good comic relief. I like the use of language and word plays.

5. One book that made you cry:

I thought about putting "Exegetical Fallicies" here as well. :-) I'm not sure I've actually cried out loud with any book, but I've probably come the closest with "The Suffering Savior" by F. W. Krummacher. "Foxe's Book of Matyrs," as well.

6. One book that you wish had been written:

???

7. One book that you wish had never been written:

I don't know, but I've been surprised by the creative answers to this that I've seen on other blogs.

8. One book you are currently reading:

"Preaching the Whole Bible As Christian Scripture" by Graeme Goldsworthy

9. One book you have been meaning to read:

"Ancient Israel in Sinai: The Evidence for the Authenticity of the Wilderness Tradition" by James K. Hoffmeier
